Walk or run the Grand Canal Way, 117 km of varied terrain perfect for exploring on foot. Fish for pike, tench, bream, roach and stickleback along the Grand Canal. Walk the canal towpaths, with several different routes to choose from – nearby Lowtown is where the Grand Canal connects with the Barrowline Canal and the Barrow Way. Or hire a barge or take a trip on a cruiser down the canal. Once the day’s activities are done, visit Weld’s Pub for a refreshing pint of local beer – you can even enjoy live music here.
