Our Commitment
This website is part of the Waterways Ireland Education Programme which is about bringing the inland waterways into the learning environment. The programme aims to encourage teachers, school children and parents to develop an appreciation for their local inland waterway.
The resources we develop and programmes or workshops we deliver feed into the curriculum and compliment what schools are doing within the classroom. We hope the resources and actvities inspire you as you connect with your local waterway!
Teacher Resources
This Education Pack has been developed to integrate the inland waterways with the learning environment and provide learning experiences which are meaningful, accessible, engaging and stimulating. The pack offers a range of resources and activities which link to both the Irish Primary Curriculum and the Northern Ireland Primary Curriculum.
