Discover vibrant forestry and invigorating nature on the Carrickreagh Jetty Walk. This blue waymarked, linear trail takes you through the lush woodland near the edge of Lower Lough Erne. As you walk the moss-laden, fern-fringed forest, the route will occasionally open up, revealing stunning views of Lower Lough Erne and its scenic surroundings. Pause to admire the view across the water to the Crannog, Inish Lougher and Inish Fovar Islands opposite the shore. These islands and the adjacent shoreline are an important habitat for various species of native birds, and this area is conserved by the RSPB, making it an ideal place to birdwatch. Near the end of your walk, you’ll reach a jetty, where you can take in breathtaking views across the lake.
