Edenderry

Visit the thriving town of Edenderry in East County Offaly, close to the Grand Canal. With several historic bridges, a harbour with an annual festival, excellent fishing and all the activities life by the water affords, Edenderry is the perfect place to relax.

Take a canal-side stroll past the town’s three famous bridges; George’s Bridge, Drumcooley/Colgan’s Bridge and Downshire Bridge. Enjoy fantastic fishing along the Grand Canal, where species include tench, roach, pike and bream. Kayak the canal’s peaceful waters, or rent a bike to explore its scenic banks.
