Waterways Ireland updates masters of vessels and waterway users that the Barrow Line remains closed to navigation on the 26th Level at Vicarstown to complete refurbishment and upgrade works at Vicarstown quay.
Closed since Monday 13 October 2025, reopening has been revised to Friday 3rd April 2026.
This extended closure will facilitate the construction of additional quay wall infrastructure and masonry bridge repairs. Waterways Ireland thanks its waterways users for their cooperation and patience whilst we deliver these amenity improvements.
