Advisory for Boaters & Canoeists

  • During training periods, there are no formal mooring restrictions in place.
  • During events, vessels are asked to work around scheduled activities and only pass in urgent situations, as movements may delay play by up to 45 minutes.
  • Vessels should not moor within the harbour during competitions.
  • Post event and training, canoeists should remove any obstructions to navigation as soon as practicable.
  • Canoe polo event organisers and Masters of Vessels are encouraged to engage locally to coordinate movements and minimise disruption.

A cooperative and respectful approach by all water users will help ensure the safe, inclusive, and enjoyable shared use of the Royal Canal.
