Waterways Ireland advises masters of vessels and waterway users of the Mahon’s Fishing Festival - Sunday 3 May to Friday 8 May 2026, on the Erne System, during which certain jetties will be reserved exclusively for event participants. The following jetties in Enniskillen will be reserved for the duration of the event:
- Round ‘O’ Jetty, outer jetty – one peg, upstream end
- Sligo Road (Henry Street) two jetties
- Enniskillen Castle Jetty two pegs – downstream section
Advisory to Boaters and Anglers
- Designated jetties are reserved exclusively for event participants during the specified period
- Vessel access and mooring are not permitted at these peg locations during event times
- Masters of vessels should exercise caution and be aware of fishing lines in the vicinity of jetties
- Anglers have priority at Waterways Ireland jetties only during approved events; at all other times, vessel mooring takes precedence
- Users should observe all on-site signage indicating jetty closures and temporary restrictions
- Any conflicts arising outside of these event dates should be reported to the Erne Inspectorate
