Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users that Lock 25, Cappincur, on the Grand Canal will be closed until 17 March 2026.
This closure is required to facilitate emergency works to the lock gates. The works will involve the replacement of the breast gates. Navigation through Lock 25 will not be possible for the duration of these essential works.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience caused and appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all waterway users during this period of necessary maintenance.
