Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that the Killaloe Canal will be closed to all vessels from the ESB Store to the Canal Gates from 17 November 2025 to 28 February 2026, to facilitate refurbishment of the adjacent timber boardwalk.
Any vessels currently moored in this section of the canal should be relocated before 08:00 hours on 17 November 2025, after which vessels may be relocated by Waterways Ireland, under powers vested by S.I. No. 80/1992 - Shannon Navigation Bye-Laws, 1992.
The Killaloe Boardwalk section undergoing refurbishment will also be closed to public access for the duration of the works. Access will be maintained to vessels berthed on the outer jetties.
