Royal Canal - Maynooth - between Mullen Bridge and Jackson’s Bridge
Waterways Ireland informs all users of the Royal Canal that the Junior & U23 5K Series kayaking events will take place on Saturday 14 February 2026 and Saturday 28 February 2026. This event will involve organised competitive kayaking along the stated section of the canal.
Navigation & Safety Advisory:
- Kayaks will be active on the water between 1000hrs and 1400hrs on each event day.
- Waterway users are requested to proceed with caution when approaching the event area and to co-operate with event marshals’ instructions.
- Vessel wash must be kept to an absolute minimum when passing kayaks, safety craft, or officials, to ensure the safety of competitors.
