Masters of vessels are strongly advised to avoid afloat journeys during weather warnings. Additional precautions should be taken when operating near water, as jetty surfaces and quay walls may become particularly hazardous due to high winds and overtopping conditions.
It is also recommended to inspect moored and berthed vessels both before and after the weather event to ensure their safety and security.
