Waterways Ireland introduces Minister Campbell to Boat Trade at London International Boat Show

Waterways Ireland invited Gregory Campbell MLA, Minister for Culture, Art and Leisure to attend the recent London International Boat Show which took place at ExCel in the London Docklands in January.

At the show, Waterways Ireland Chief Executive John Martin showed Minister Campbell the Waterways Ireland exhibitions stand as well as the publications and DVD's used to promote the inland navigations.

Waterways Ireland attended the show in conjunction with cruiser and barge hire companies. The six companies included Manor House Marine, Silverline, Locaboat, Carrick Craft, Corraquil Cruising and Shannon Princess. Each company provided a boating holidays as a competition prize to entrants in competitions over the Boat Show and was successful in attracting a large number of people to the Waterways Ireland stand.

John Martin also introduced the Minister to all the Northern Ireland inland waterway businesses at the show including Erne Craft's Colm Beattie, a boat builder operating on Lough Erne and Ivor Hanna of Hanna Boats which operates on the Lower Bann.
