This short, scenic route is an accessible introduction to Castle Archdale forest, taking you through dense woodland and active forests. Follow the red waysigns along a woodland river and enjoy the invigorating rush of water in your ears as it flows towards Lough Erne. The eagle-eyed may even spot a kingfisher over the river’s sparkling waters.
As you leave the river, follow the path through the forest driveway back to the carpack, admiring colourful wildflowers and flitting butterflies, including red admiral, speckled wood, and peacock butterflies.
