Cycling on the Lower Bann Navigation
The river navigation does not have a towpath but rural roads lead the cyclist on a 45 mile route on a gently weaving route from Lough Neagh to the sea.
Lower Bann Cycleway passes through forests and woodland as well as through or near the towns of Toome, Portglenone, Kilrea, Ballymoney and Coleraine. Plenty of opportunity to stop for a breather, stay overnight or stock up on provisions.
For those looking for a more competitive experience, the inland waterways are host to a myriad of adventure races and triathlons throughout the season.
