Cycling on the Erne System
Upper and Lower Lough Erne and the linking river sections make up the Erne System and a natural figure of eight loop for cyclists using rural roads with good services at reasonable distances.
More widely known though is the
Kingfisher Cycle Trail (part of the SUSTRANS National Cycle Route) which circles around Lough Erne, the Shannon-Erne Waterway and part of the North Shannon is its 200 mile+ journey.
Use See and Do to find an activity or equipment hire provider.
For those looking for a more competitive experience, the inland waterways are host to a myriad of
adventure races and triathlons throughout the season.
