Shannonbridge

Explore the stunning scenery of Shannonbridge, a beautiful village in County Offaly, right on the River Shannon. Most famous for its impressive arched stone bridge, complete with mooring points and close to the main street, Shannonbridge also boasts a historic restaurant in an early 19th century restored fort and some of the most stunning views in Ireland. 

Explore the countryside through walks like the Shannonbridge Loop, taking in the bridge, Napoleonic fortifications along the Shannon and the surrounding bogs and woodland. Shannonbridge is also popular with anglers, due to well-stocked waters teaming with bream, rudd, tench, pike, eel and salmon.
