Scarriff

Visit the thriving village of Scarriff in County Clare, and explore a historic and beautiful area that has been inhabited for over 4000 years. Set a little back from the western arm of Lough Derg, Scarriff has its own harbour, with a toilet and shower block, a pump-out, water supplies and electricity.

Take a short stroll into town, and you’ll find several bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes, a public library and the iconic Scarriff Market House, alongside several B&Bs for visitors. Set along the East Clare Way Walking Trail, there are plenty of routes for hikers and walkers. A short drive or longer walk towards the Lough, you’ll find Blackbay Fishing Lodge and Derg Isle Adventure Centre, and activities such as horseback riding and golf.
