Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterways users on the Lower Bann Navigation that NIEA are planning to undertake a booming exercise on the Lower Bann on Thursday, 01 August 2024. The exercise will run from approximately 1030hrs to 1500hrs
Booms will be placed in the vicinity of Camus Wood North, approximately 500m upstream of the Loughan Island. Planned deployment will take the form of two lengths of inflatable river guardian booms, one from each bank, both extending to beyond the river mid-point with a gap between to allow for continued navigation of the river.
