They will be required to promote the intrinsic conservation value of the waterways and help deliver the requirements of a long-term strategy for the Organisation, of which a key pillar and strategic priority, covers Climate Action, Environment and Heritage.

The role holder will be a key member of the Technical Services Directorate and will provide advice to the Senior Management Team on environmental, heritage and sustainability issues relating to all activities undertaken by Waterways Ireland in the two jurisdictions of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
