Maynooth is a charming and lively university town in north County Kildare, only 24 km west of Central Dublin. Maynooth Harbour, also known locally as Duke’s Harbour, offers access to a large playground and recreational area in Maynooth town centre, and free parking is available in multiple shopping centres within five minutes of the harbour. Alternatively, access convenient paid parking at the harbour. In the town centre, you’ll find multiple hospitality options and two hotels, the Glenroyal Hotel and Carton House, both of which are accessible directly from the Royal Canal.
