Keenagh

14 km south of Longford is Keenagh, also known as Kenagh, a picturesque village a short distance from the Royal Canal Greenway. The focus of early noughties real estate initiatives, the village is still home to only 600 or so inhabitants, with several shops, two parish churches and several pubs where you can stop for relaxation and refreshments. You’ll find a shop and serviced toilets at the access point on the Royal Canal Greenway, and beautiful rural views of the surrounding countryside.
