Waterways Ireland advises masters of vessels and waterway users that the planned temporary closure of the 29th Level at Huband Aqueduct has been delayed.
This is due to additional technical requirements identified in advance of the works. Consequently, the canal will remain open to navigation until further notice.
A revised notice will issue in due course to enable repair works to the aqueduct
