Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterways users that the Grand Canal at Lock 19 at Lowtown is blocked due to a sunken vessel in the navigation.
It is expected that the vessel will be removed within the coming days, an update will be provided in due course.
Vessels wishing to travel through Lowtown can bypass the Lock 19 and the sunken vessel by using the old and new Barrow Line loop.
