Safety Statement
Waterways Ireland safety statement is complied to comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Order (NI) 1978.
This statement outlines Waterways Ireland’s commitment to securing a workplace that is safe and healthy and a safe environment for waterway users. The statement contains a general statement of policy which specifies the manner in which the safety, health and welfare of persons employed by Waterways Ireland shall be secured at work. The statement contains Waterways Ireland safety management structure, safety organisation and responsibilities, risk assessments and safe operating procedures, guidance for compliance with specific legislation and direction on accident/incident procedures.
