WHAT'S ON 2006 IRELAND'S INLAND WATERWAYS

Waterways Ireland has released this year's edition of the "What's On", an Events Guide for Ireland's inland waterways. The Guide features events along the Barrow Navigation, the Erne System, the Grand Canal, the Lower Bann, the Royal Canal, the Shannon and the Shannon-Erne Waterway and includes contact details for over 160 organised events. National and International events like the North West 200, the Water Ski World Cup and the Strokestown International Poetry Festival are found alongside local sporting races, regattas and fishing competitions and the many community festivals on or close to the waterways.

The 40 page guide is distributed free of charge by Waterways Ireland and may be downloaded from the "Events" section of the website at www.waterwaysireland.org or by calling the Waterways Ireland Marketing and Communications Division at 00 44 28 66346 219 (Enniskillen) or 00 353 71 9650787 (Carrick on Shannon).

Waterways Ireland is the North/South implementation body responsible for the managing the inland navigable waterways.
