2006 On the Water Show
WATERWAYS IRELAND 'ON THE WATER'
Waterways Ireland will be exhibiting at the On The Water Boat Show 2006 which is taking place in the Malahide Marina, Co. Dublin from 28th April to 1st May. The Exhibition will be the largest showcase of boats ever shown at a Boat Show in Ireland. Up to 180 boats will be on display in the Malahide Marina, varying in size from 10ft to an 82ft luxury cruiser and yachts.
Waterways Ireland will use the Show to promote the unique product that is Ireland's inland waterways and will showcase the wide open and island dotted lakes, the fast flowing rivers and 19th century man-made canals of the inland waterway network. Staff of Waterways Ireland will also distribute information and provide guidance to existing and potential inland waterways users.
More than 50,000 Irish people participate in water-based leisure activities during the summer weekends while at the same time the inland waterways are attracting tourists from all over Europe and the world.
The On The Water Boat Show 2006 is expected to draw a huge attendance of people with a new or current interest in boating activities.
