Fishing Competition Cootehall

Waterways Ireland sponsors the Cootehall Fishing Club Competition

Waterways Ireland is delighted to sponsor the Cootehall Fishing Club competition which takes place on Sunday 2nd July at the Boyle River in Cootehall.

The angling competition which has been running for three years will attract competitors from both sides of the border. Over 70 anglers are expected to take part in the competition in junior and senior categories.

Angling on Ireland's inland waterways is a major tourism driver with both domestic and foreign anglers flocking to the banks of our rivers, lakes and canals each year.

Club competitions such this focus on the great work undertaken by those clubs year in, year out. Cootehall Fishing Club is a prime example of this.

For further information on the event, please contact Niall Daly, Chairman of Cootehall Fishing Club at +353 86 829 4750.

Waterways Ireland is the North/South implementation body responsible for the management of the inland navigable waterway systems of the island of Ireland.
